1 pound of ground beef

1½ teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon paprika powder

½ teaspoon crushed red peppers

½ cup cilantro, chopped

2 small tomatoes, chopped

½ cup lemon juice

1 teaspoon oil

1 small/medium onion, sliced and separated

1 bell pepper (red), cut into thin strips

1 bell pepper (green), cut into thin strips


  1. In a medium pan over medium high heat, brown beef.  Drain fat and return to heat. 
  2. Add cumin, garlic, chili, paprika, red peppers and lemon juice.  Stir until combined, simmer and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and bell peppers in hot oil until soft, 5 to 10 minutes.   
  4. Combine with beef mixture, cilantro and tomatoes and cook until combined
