Going Green Smoothie

This smoothie is a great source of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and fiber! Your children will have fun putting all the ingredients into the blender!

Serving: 3

Prep Time: 5-10 minutes

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup water

1-cup green grapes

1/2-cup pineapple chunks

1/2 medium banana, peeled

2 cups fresh spinach, washed

1/2-cup ice cubes

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender in the order listed; secure the lid
  2. Blend until the desired consistency is reached

TIPS

  1. Freeze the grapes, pineapple cubes, and peeled banana chunks prior to making the smoothie.  It will taste even better
  2. To increase the protein content, add a small amount of plain, non-fat Greek yogurt in place of water
  3. Your children can help add all the ingredients to the blender
