Fun Pita Christmas Trees

Add a variety of fresh, chopped vegetables to make all the trees look different. This is a great recipe to bring to a holiday potluck or family dinner.


4 flavored or plain pita pockets

16 pretzel sticks, halved

1/2 cup fat-free sour cream

1/2 cup guacamole

2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

1/4 teaspoon garlic-pepper blend

1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped finely


Cut each pita into 8 wedges and insert pretzel stick half into the center of the bottom of each wedge to form the “tree trunk.”  In a small bowl, mix sour cream, guacamole, parsley, and garlic blend. Spread a teaspoon of mix per pita wedge.  Sprinkle bell pepper or arrange like garland on each wedge. Cover and refrigerate up to 8 hours before serving.  Serves 32
