Instead of the Ziploc bags, the mixture can be frozen in a 9×13 glass baking dish. This is a great recipe for summer, when fresh fruits are less expensive. Mango is very rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin A.
2 cups orange juice
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup chopped fresh pineapple
1 cup chopped fresh mango
1 banana, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
Chilled club soda
Lime, orange, or pineapple wedges (optional)
Ziploc gallon freezer bags
In a blender, combine orange juice, pineapple juice, pineapple, mango, banana, and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Pour mixture into 1 or 2 freezer bags. To prevent leakage, double bag each mixture. Lay bags flat and freeze for at least 6 to 8 hours, until firm. Remove from freezer when ready to serve. Let stand at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. Using a spoon, scrape frozen fruit mixture to make a slush. Fill small glasses half-full with slush. Top with club soda. Serve with a spoon and garnish with a fruit wedge, if desired.
