This recipe should not be served to children less than 2 years of age, due to choking hazards. Raisins can be substituted for the dried cranberries. To more easily spread the mixture into the prepared pan, cover the ‘spreader’ with margarine.

Ingredients:
Cooking Spray
2 cups of oats
½ cup of light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoon honey
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon peanut butter
¼ cup dark chocolate chips
2 tablespoon soft margarine
¼ cup sliced almonds (Optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350? F. Line a 9”X13” baking dish with foil, and spray with cooking spray. Melt together the brown sugar, peanut butter, honey, soft margarine, and vanilla extract in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until well mixed, and then remove from heat. Combine the oats, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Pour the heated brown sugar mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips, dried cranberries, and almonds. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until browned.
