Yogurt is a great source of protein and calcium. Yogurt contains live bacteria that are helpful to a good digestive system. When blueberries and strawberries are in-season and plentiful, buy extra. Freeze them and they work great in recipes such as smoothies. Add all of the ingredients into the blender. This smoothie can be made the night before and covered in the refrigerator. The next morning, take the smoothie out and enjoy it!
Ingredients:
1 cup spinach
2 bananas, peeled
1 cup strawberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
Directions:
Combine spinach, bananas, both berries, and yogurt into a blender. Blend until smooth and to your desired consistency. Makes Four 1-cup servings
