  •  5 cups apples; peeled and sliced (about 8 medium)
  •  3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  •  ½ cup rolled oats
  •  ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  •  ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  •  ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  •  ¼ cup butter
  •  ¼ cup chopped nuts (optional)


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    2. Place apples in a 2-quart square baking dish; stir in granulated sugar.

    3. Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.

    4. Cut in butter with 2 knives until mixture becomes like coarse crumbs.

    5. Stir nuts into the topping and sprinkle over apples.

    6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden.

    Recipe Tips:
